The Chronicles of Skyler

Skyler left home at an early age, carrying little more than independence and quiet determination. She built her life from the ground up, starting with a laundromat that would become Purr & Fold Laundry, a place born from persistence and long nights. From there, she expanded into the culinary world, opening a restaurant that quickly became a reflection of her warmth and ambition. Love came and went. After a difficult breakup, she tried again, but nothing ever seemed to last. Instead of searching outward, Skyler turned inward, reconnecting with her spellcraft roots, a legacy passed down from her father. That rediscovery reshaped her path. Her true calling began with animals.

She opened her first rescue, Hachiko Animal Rescue, which soon grew into Nordic Lab and Simmi Valley Rescue. Around that time, she was called to help animals trapped in an abandoned home owned by a woman named Russ. When a fire broke out, neighbors reached out to Skyler, knowing she was their only chance. She stepped in without hesitation, saving the animals and bringing them to safety at a new shelter named After a year, Skyler managed to build her fourth rescue center, the Shadow Animal Sanctuary. Among those rescued were Dixie, a cat, and JJ, a bulldog, both whom became part of her growing legacy of second chances.

Skyler continued expanding her mission at the Shadow Animal Sanctuary, dedicated to rehabilitating aggressive dogs, and created Shadow Bakery within the rescue, where she sells cakes to support her work. She also opened Mansfield Horse Ranch for rescued horses and Simmi Valley Stables, a space dedicated to training high-level, competitive horses with professional care and expertise.

Beyond rescues, Skyler remained deeply connected to her community. She teaches yoga classes at her best friend’s Pottery & Yoga Studio, creating moments of peace in the midst of her demanding life.

During this time, Russ’s life took a difficult turn, leading her to prison. But Skyler did not abandon her. She helped her heal, guiding her through recovery from alcohol addiction. Skyler paid her bail, placed her in a homeless shelter, and later into a rehabilitation center, where she stayed for three months and rebuilt herself. Once she was ready, Skyler reunited Russ with her parents, whom she had lost contact with, along with her two children, Kaden and Rayleen. She even helped them start over, buying them a home where they could finally live together in peace.

Skyler’s compassion extended further. During a period in her life, she visited a man named X, who eventually gave up several cats due to neglect. Skyler took them in without hesitation, bringing Franklin, Porkchop, Heidi, and Brook to Simmi Valley Rescue, ensuring they would never be abandoned again.

Then, everything changed. Skyler met Jordan, and this time, love stayed. They built a life together, moving in and creating a future side by side. Their wedding is set for March 30, 2026, a new chapter waiting to begin. Soon after, another blessing followed. Skyler is now pregnant, expecting her baby on April 3rd. She recently purchased land and a home where she wants her parents to grow their own food and create a peaceful life for them. While she moved on from her childhood home, it remains the family house, and her parents now live more comfortably, with her father finally able to own and care for his own horses.

Skyler also owns a veterinary clinic, trusts her staff completely, and continues spiritual guidance through tarot readings. She recently enrolled at New York Film Academy, studying fashion design with the goal of creating runway-worthy collections.

Her story continues to unfold in words as well as deeds. Skyler began practicing writing and is now working on her first book, Simi Valley, a personal memoir tracing her life from childhood to her missions. She plans to present it at a convention when it feels ready, building her legacy page by page, through both action and storytelling.
